- Almus Sleep Aid 50mg Tablets relieve short term sleeplessness, to help you fall into a natural sleep. They contain diphenhydramine hydrochloride, a sedating antihistamine which causes drowsiness.
Suitable for adults and children over 16 years.
- Active Ingredient: Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride 50mg
Other Ingredients: Lactose, Maize Starch, Pregelatinised Maize Starch and Magnesium Stearate.
- This product causes drowsiness soon after taking, so you should not drive or operate machinery for at least 8 hours after taking a tablet.
The tablets contain lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking these tablets.
Do not take Careway Max Strength Sleep Aid 50mg Tablets if you:
Are allergic to diphenhydramine or any of the other ingredients in the tablets.
Have asthma.
Have a stomach ulcer, or obstruction of the gut or bladder.
Suffer from narrow angle glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye).
Suffer from prostate trouble.
Suffer from porphyria (a rare inherited blood disease).
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Careway Max Strength Sleep Aid 50mg Tablets if you:
Have liver disease.
Have bronchitis or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Have other types of glaucoma (see above).
Have difficulty in passing urine.
Have myasthenia gravis (a muscle dysfunction).
Suffer from fits.
Suffer from tinnitus as this medicine may make your tinnitus worse.
Are taking any other medicines, particularly:
Medicines used to treat depression called Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
Other medicines used to treat depression or anxiety (for example sedatives, hypnotics, tranquillizers, tricyclic antidepressants).
Other antihistamines (these medicines are often used to relieve allergies or hayfever).
