Proppadoms Original Proppadoms 25g

Husband loves a curry, and these mini Poppadoms complement it perfectly. You receive 4 bags of salty, crispy, crunchy mini poppadoms, and they're just absolutely delighful. They are the perfect size for scooping a mouthful of tikka masala into your mouth. At the time of writing, each bag works out to 1.25 which is fairly expensive because large packs of poppadoms by the big brands cost the same, if not less, so that's not great. But they really are very tasty, and convenient, and very low calorie - they don't have that oily greasy texture poppadoms can have sometimes - so if you're having curry night, these are a fab way to go.

This is the Family Secret Proppadoms 25g x 4, original flavour, also available in duck n plum, jalapeo, garlic n red chilli, turmeric chillin ginger or sriracha. Vegan friendly in foil bags. If you like poppadoms then you will love these, we opted for original which is just salted. Gorgeous. Slightly lighter than the normal ones or supermarket ones. They are gorgeous with a mango chutney n onion pickle! My only issue was one bag is not enough! If you like poppadoms then give these a try, they are well nice. I fully recommend these, especially the original flavour. Superb.

Great branding and unlike other companies, this one appears to be a small family business (not one bought out by a hedge fund!). Ingredients: Black gram flour, rice flour, water, salt, calcium oxide. Taste is great and quite convenient in 25g packets - also reduces the mess of broken poppadums everywhere. Taste lovely with my favourite mango chutney. Currently about 1.25 a bag which is fine for a small company.

A good mini poppadom great with Indian pickles

This is 4x 30g bags of mini poppadoms. I got the plain ones (classic original) as I thought they would be the most versatile to have as a snack on their own, with dips or on the side of a meal. The poppadoms are light and crunchy, a bit drier than regular fried poppadoms and obviously they're dinky in size so they actually remind me more of baked crisps in this respect. They felt reasonably fresh to me and did taste like popadoms (they're made with the same sort of ingredients after all) and I found the flavour palatable enough. I think overall I enjoyed them more than not - but it just wasn't a snack I particularly craved or sought out; when I wanted popadoms with food, I'd just have a normal full sized one; when I fancied a savoury snack, I'd opt for baked crisps, chickpea puffs, lentil crisps etc. Maybe one of the other Proppadom flavours would deliver something a bit extra with the taste but as it stands, this is not something I'd get again. You might see more of an appeal with these if you've always wished popadoms were actually a bag of crisps...
