Therefore we were keen to create not only a fully compostable sponge - but its packaging is too! You can pop the sponges in the washing machine or dishwasher to freshen them up - but when you are finished with them, just throw them in your compost bin to give back to the environment!

Composty kitchen sponges have been carefully designed by us - a UK family business. We have created them to be jam-packed with eco-friendly features and also offer superior cleaning performance. Living sustainably is so important to us and we are thrilled to help so many other families join the movement. Composty Loofah Sponges are that good that we have found that anyone who tries them, wants to stick with them! Our eco-friendly Loofah Sponges are fabulous at washing the dishes but that's not all. They are excellent for washing up and cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and elsewhere around the house. Composty Loofah Sponges are made of natural cellulose sponge (wood pulp) with a natural loofah scourer attached with organic cotton, which provides a gentle scouring action that will not scratch your pans and glassware. We have spent over 12 months developing the most effective and sustainable solution for a combined scourer and sponge. We quickly learned that you should be careful when buying sponges with the scourers glued to the sponge, as we found that these may contain plastic - hence we opted for an organic stitched option. As always, Composty packaging is completely compostable along with the entire product - we're devoted to creating a product range that allows our customers to do the right thing for the planet - we've thought everything through so you don't have to worry about greenwashing in your family! The sponges are the perfect size for your hand (11cm x 7cm x 2cm) and don't they look so cute?! The sponges are an adaption of our very popular 'pop-up' sponges - they provide an expanded version of the usual long-lasting, durable sponge that our customers love, with an attached loofah scourer to tackle tougher jobs. The Loofah sponges have a strong, textured 'feel' which helps to provide superior cleaning performance. The eco-friendly Loofah Sponges are made of natural materials and are vegan too. Plastic-free means that no microplastics enter the waterways.
