Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. The beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of 4 g of carbohydrates per kg of body weight, from all sources, within 4 to 6 hours after long-lasting physical exercise. Each serving of Nitro-Tech contains 3 g of creatine which, when taken daily, increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass.
