Lepicol is a three-in-one combination of gentle psyllium husk fibre supplement, live bacterial cultures and Inulin. The main fibre source within Lepicol is psyllium husk (plant ago ovata). psyllium Husks are a great fibre supplement as it is able to normalise stool size by being water retentive and, at the same time, forms a soft gel which eases the stool along the lower digestive tract ready for evacuation. Psyllium Husks have the advantage of being much gentler than some common fibre supplements (such as wheat or bran), many of which could irritate a sensitive bowel. Lepicol contains five strains of live bacteria. Your digestive tract is home to trillions of gut bacteria that aid in digestion, help prevent a pathogenic bacteria over-growth and have an impact on your immune system. Keeping a balanced gut microflora helps to ensure that the environment in your digestive tract is stable and goes a long way to aid in your health and well-being. Inulin is a fibre that is sourced from chicory root. Inulin is not broken down by the body, It is fermented by the live bacteria in the gut to support the growth of live bacteria. Parents should seek the guidance of a medical practitioner before giving Lepicol to children under 11 years.After two weeks, for some people, the number of Lepicol capsules taken daily can be reduced.Safety WarningPlease Note: Taking Lepicol without water can cause choking. Always aim to consume 200 - 250ml of liquid with every 5 capsules. Please consult your doctor before taking Lepicol if you have recently had intestinal surgery or you have an intestinal obstruction.
