Clearspring Bio Kurzkorn-Sushi-Reis 500g
Clearsprings Bio-Sushi-Reis ist ideal für die Herstellung von köstlichem, perfekt gekochtem Reis, der in Japans berühmtestem Gericht, Sushi, verwendet werden kann. Die kurzkörnige Selenio-Reissorte hat sehr ähnliche Eigenschaften wie der Japonica-Reis, der in Japan zur Herstellung von Sushi verwendet wird. Er wird in der Region Piemont im Nordwesten Italiens biologisch angebaut, einem Gebiet, das auch für den Anbau von Risotto-Reis bekannt ist. Nach der Reifung wird der Reis von einem Reismüller in der nahe gelegenen Stadt Trino bis zur Perfektion poliert. Wenn nur die äußerste Schicht eines Reiskorns (die Schale) entfernt wird, entsteht brauner Reis. Um weißen Reis herzustellen, werden die nächsten Schichten unter der Schale (die Kleie und die Keimschicht) entfernt, wobei hauptsächlich das stärkehaltige Endosperm zurückbleibt. 1 Tasse (250 g) Sushi-Reis in kaltem Wasser waschen und abtropfen lassen. In einen Topf mit 1¼ Tassen (310 ml) kaltem Wasser geben. 30 Minuten einweichen lassen. Aufkochen. Abdecken und die Hitze reduzieren, um 10 - 12 Minuten köcheln zu lassen oder bis das gesamte Wasser absorbiert wurde. Vom Herd nehmen und zugedeckt 10 Minuten ruhen lassen.
