Weil Gewürze nie zu viel sind, freuen wir uns, Ihnen die Kurkuma vorzustellen.
Wird seit über 2000 Jahren verwendet und stammt ursprünglich aus dem Südwesten, gehört zur Ingwerfamilie.
Es ist die wesentliche Zutat in indischen und nahöstlichen Gerichten, die den Geschmack betont und verschiedenen Gerichten, insbesondere Reis, Farbe verleiht. Der erdige Geschmack mit leicht bitteren und moschusartigen Zügen setzt ein süßes erdiges Aroma frei. Eine der Hauptzutaten in der Currypulvermischung und dem Ras el Hanout, ist oft ein Ersatz für Safran, weil es auch eine gelbe Farbe gibt, aber nicht so lebhaft. Es wird angenommen, dass es viele medizinische Anwendungen hat, wie z. B. als Verdauungshilfe, Antiseptikum für Schnitte, Verbrennungen und bei Hautproblemen. -
